Storybook Hearts is a labor of love.

Hi! My name is Sue Lattea and I'm a retired educator. I taught for almost 25 years and 17 of those years were spent in kindergarten. For as long as I can remember, I have loved to read. I was one of those kids in school who cheered when the teacher said it was silent reading time. One of my earliest memories is walking to the library and getting my very own library card. From then on, I brought home stacks of books that I would devour. When I became a teacher, I shared that love of books with my students. Another teacher paid me the highest compliment when she told me that one of my former students was at the Scholastic Book Fair and telling others that he knew that Eric Carle was the author of the book he was looking at just by seeing the pictures. I have retired from education but I still love books, especially children's books. I have created Storybooks Hearts to share that love of books and reading with teachers, parents and children.
